Tarapada Chakraborty〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=The master with a nose for music )〕 (Bengali: তারাপদ চক্রবর্তী ''Taaraapado Chokrobortee''); (April 1, 1909 – September 1, 1975) was an Indian vocalist in the Hindustani classical tradition. He was born in Kotalipara, Faridpur, Bangladesh to a Vaidik Brahman family. He is known for the ''khayal'' and ''thumri'' form of singing, as well as for his popular renditions of Bangali Khayal and Raagpradhans'' .
